Head of King Ranch located in Kingsville, Texas

Dear Jimmy, it was great seeing you during Janell's book signing at the Edinburg Museum. Having my two favorite authors and photographers in the same location was wonderful. I was so pleased to receive a personal signed copy of your book, "Helicopter Cowboy". Your aerial acrobatics while working cattle are second to none. Your ability to think and move prior to the cattle being moved is only possible because you truly understand cattle and how they respond to pressure. I loved the stories of all your working experiences and hearing how other ranches are worked in the South Texas Brush. What you have documented is a time passed and will never be seen again, as the men who worked on the ground as you worked in the air are truly cowboys who knew how to work in the tough brush country of South Texas. Documenting the ranches, their men, cattle and surroundings will forever remind those who read your book of the way it was in the good times of cattle work in the South Texas brush country. The times you witnessed and the men, are a true testament to the talented cowboys of South Texas. I am honored to be one of those who rode with you and witnessed first hand working cattle on King Ranch.
